May 5-15, 2015
When I began to conduct fewer tours each year I decided that I would spend the remaining time directing tours to the Bible Lands, especially Israel, Turkey, and Greece. I planned a tour to Israel for 2015, but due to the unrest in the region, and in consultation with our tour operator, I have decided to hold off on that tour.
When repeating tours that many of our tour members have taken, some more than once, we realized that all of our tour members were new travelers. That is fine, but we have missed the company of so many good friends we have made over the years. Here is our solution to that problem.
We have traveled to all of the Western European countries and many of those in Eastern Europe. A favorite tour has been one that we previously called Heart of Europe (1999). We are repeating a similar tour for 2015, calling it 11 Day Alpine Europe. This tour includes visits to some highlights of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. It can easily be argued that this is one of the most beautiful regions on earth, based on the natural beauty and the architectural beauty of the past 800 or so years.

Our Visit in Switzerland Includes
- Lucerne. Lucerne has an attractive waterfront, 14th and 15th century covered wood bridges and medieval walls. This makes the city one of the prettiest in Switzerland.
- Bernese Oberland. Enjoy beautiful mountain scenery as we drive through the lovely Obwalden Valley past Lakes Sarnen and Lungern.
- Interlaken is a popular summer resort dwarfed by massive Alpine peaks such as the Junfrau.
- Leaving Switzerland on the way to Austria we will make a stop in the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein.

Our Visit in Austria Includes
- Innsbruck. The capital of the Austrian province of Tyrol is set in the heart of the Alps. The city is 800 years old and is named for the bridge across the Inn River first build in the 12th century.
- Salzburg. The beautiful city know as the home of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the setting for "The Sound of Music." Sightseeing drive includes the Mirabell Castle and the Kongresshaus, the Marktplatz, and the Rathaus. Much more.
