Unique! Exciting! Amazing! Enjoyable! These are the words to describe this tour, Steps of Paul and John. It will provide the background for a better understanding of Acts, the epistles of Paul and John, and the book of Revelation. We expect this tour to be as popular and enjoyable as our previous tours to this area. Turkey is an undiscovered jewel for tourism. One of the highlights of this tour will be the cruise of the Greek islands. This kind of tour isn't offered very often. Our last one was offered in 2008. We hope you will join us now.

We Will Visit…

• Istanbul. Here in ancient Constantinople east meets west, Europe meets Asia. Sightseeing includes the Blue Mosque, Saint Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the Archaeological Museum and the Grand Bazaar with its 4,000 little shops.

The Hagai Sophia is one of the world's greatest architectural structures. Built in 6th Century A.D. by the Emperor Justinian.

• Izmir. Izmir is the Smyrna of the book of Revelation. Visit Mount Pagos with its magnificent view of the city and harbour, the Agora, and the archaeological museum.
• Pergamum. Visit includes the acropolis, temple of Trajan, steepest theatre of the world, altar of Zeus, the archaeological museum and the ruins of the Asculapium, the most famous medical center of the ancient world.
• Thyatira. A small agricultural town by the name of Akhisar is the site of the biblical city of Thyatira.
• Sardis. At the site of the capital of ancient Lydia we will see the Acropolis, the temple of Cybele and Diana, the golden river Pactolus and the reconstructed synagogue and the gymnasium.
• Philadelphia. Travel through beautiful table lands to Alasehir, the site of ancient Philadelphia.
• Laodicea. New excavations at Laodicea have revealed streets and temples from the Roman period. This is in addition to the ruins of the theatre, stadium, aqueduct, and scattered remains that have been visible for several years. The church at Laodicea was noted for its lukewarmness.

Main East-West Road at Laodicea. The view is toward Colossae and Mount Cadmus.

• Colossae. The mound of ancient Colossae can be seen in the shadow of beautiful Mount Cadmus. The site awaits an archaeological excavation.
• Hierapolis. Famous for the hot mineral springs and terraced travertine formations, this village also contains remains of ancient churches, gymnasium, baths and amphitheater.
• Aphrodisias. Excavations have been conducted here for the past 30+ years. Many fabulous monuments and marvelous sculptures have been discovered.
• Miletus. Here Paul preached to the Ephesian elders. Visit the Roman theater and other buildings of that period.
• Kusadasi. We stay two nights at this resort town on the Aegean just minutes from ancient Ephesus.
• Ephesus. Paul spent nearly three years at Ephesus. Spectacular excavations over the past century have uncovered and restored many of the ancient buildings. See the theater of Acts 19 and ruins of the temple of Diana, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
• Greek Island Cruise. Our cruise of four days (three nights) on a ship of the Louis Cruises will take us to Patmos, where John was exiled before writing the book of Revelation. We will stop at Rhodes and Crete, islands visited by Paul. Also Santorini.
• Athens. The visit in the ancient and modern capital of Greece includes the National Archaeological Museum, the royal palace, Mars Hill and the Acropolis with the famous Parthenon.

• Corinth. Paul stayed 18 months at Corinth and later wrote two letters to the church. Excavations have been conducted for more than a century. The museum at the site has been remodled recently.

You will return home with an unforgettable experience lingering in your thoughts as you recall walking in the footsteps of Paul and John and early Christians. Your Bible reading will have more meaning and your "world" will be a great deal larger.

What Is Included?

Our 15 day Steps of Paul and John tour includes air transportation from New York Kennedy International on Delta Airlines to Istanbul (return from Athens), superior and first class hotels, breakfast and dinner daily, three meals a day on the cruise, private motor coach, comprehensive sightseeing with English speaking escort, shore excursions to Patmos and to Lindos, Rhodes, admissions, porterage, etc.

What is the Cost?

We are offering this excellent tour for $3860.00 — based on double occupancy and 20 or more tour members. Airport taxes, fuel surcharges, port charges, and Kusadasi embarkation charges are expected to be an additional $695. We will collect an additional $130 from each passenger for tips. (This includes the tips on the cruise.) The tour price includes an inside cabin. An outside cabin is an additional $140 per person. Single supplement for those who choose a single room is $1000. A Turkish visa is currently $20 cash upon arrival. (All amounts regarding taxes and visas are subject to change.) A deposit of $500 will reserve a place for you. The final payment is due 100 days prior to departure (January 20, 2012).

Large Print. The total (per person) for everything including the taxes, port charges, tips, an outside cabin, and Turkish visa is $4845. Note: By way of comparison this is about $450 more than the total cost in 2008. About half of that is the increase in various taxes and fees.

Insurance. Information regarding Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance will be provided to those who register for the tour.

Early Reservation a Must

The detailed brochure will be ready in a few weeks. The complete brochure will include cancellation policies. At this point I must state that there will be an administrative cancellation fee of $100 per person for any person cancelling at any time after making a deposit. Other graduated cancellation requirements begin 99 days prior to the departure date, and will be explained in the complete tour brochure.
